About this Video

Dr. Kelly Anderson, OB/GYN provides services at Myrtue Medical Center Outpatient Specialty Clinic in Harlan, Iowa.

She received her medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine - Carolinas Campus. Dr. Anderson is extensively trained in women's health and prevention including annual exams, family planning, breast health, and treatments for menopause. "I really enjoy the emotions involved in being an obstetrician. Delivering babies creates an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation. It's fun to be there, at the moment, as families experience the joy of welcoming a new member to their family," stated Dr. Anderson.

Kelly also enjoys the later-in-life aspect of being an OB/GYN. "I want my patients to feel comfortable talking to me about any chronic, troublesome symptoms or potentially embarrassing topics," she exclaims. "I am passionate about educating my patients on healthy lifestyles and promoting positive, life-long healthy changes. It is important for my patients to know I am here for a lifetime of care - not just the babies."

Dr. Anderson is originally from a small town outside of Charlotte, North Carolina, and loved growing up in the Carolinas and in a small town. She met her husband, Michael, while in college and they welcomed their first child in September 2019. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and cooking and she loves being in the outdoors doing many various activities such as kayaking and climbing.
