Accepting Grant Applications for Shelby County Nonprofit Organizations

The Shelby County Health Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports the advancement of healthcare services throughout Shelby County. During the 30-year existence, the Shelby County Health Foundation has given over $3 million to aid and support healthcare services and programs. Most recently, the Health Foundation awarded $182,000 in grants to support Shelby County community betterment. These funds fueled several key projects, including educational scholarships, fire and rescue equipment, the Rural Health Clinic expansion, and upgrades to the Wellness Center pool and equipment. Additionally, the foundation supported Grandma B’s Dream Playground and addressed transportation needs for local nursing homes.
Organizations providing services in Shelby County are eligible. They must be able to demonstrate broad community/county support; requests for general operational funds will not be considered. The Shelby County Health Foundation’s mission is to provide funds to those nonprofit and governmental agencies that are involved in community betterment through their organizations.
Nonprofit organizations can apply for the grant through Friday, May 8, 2026. Grant winners will be announced on or around May 29th,2026.
