About Brittany

Brittany is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) who has been working in the helping profession since 2011—when she obtained her Bachelor’s in social work from Buena Vista University. Upon graduation, Brittany started her career as a substance abuse counselor at an inpatient facility. Brittany graduated from the University of Iowa with her Master’s degree in Social Work in 2017. Brittany took a position a Myrtue Medical Behavioral Health in 2018. Brittany has a passion for working with people that struggle with substance abuse issues, and she currently co-facilitates the substance abuse program. Brittany also provides traditional mental health therapy to individuals ranging from later adolescence through adulthood.

Brittany is trained in multiple evidence-based treatment approaches:
