About Lynn

Lynn Schmitz, DPT, has been a member of Myrtue's Rehabilitation Services team for nearly 20 years. As a physical therapist, Dr. Schmitz specializes in a variety of areas including orthopedics, wound care, ergonomics, concussion rehab, and sports medicine. His ultimate goal is to keep individuals from becoming patients, especially those who work in labor-intensive fields.

Appointments can be made with Lynn from 7:15 AM to 5:00 PM Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and from 7:15 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursdays.

Why does Lynn love most about his profession? “Every day is different. A wide variety of simple to complex problems get dropped on your lap and you help solve the puzzle. Sometimes, you discover pieces to a puzzle no one else knew existed. Frequently, small tweaks make big life changes. I firmly believe that if you know something about what people do for a living, their activity level and their likes and dislikes, you can help them get better faster. So many people focus on just the diagnosis, not the whole person, and so much gets lost in the process.”

Lynn and his wife, Jo, have been happily married for nearly 34 years, and they are proud parents of two adult children, Samantha and Jackson. When Lynn is not at work at Myrtue, you can find him farming alongside his dad, volunteering as a firefighter, and enjoying quality time with his family and friends.
