About Lindsey
Lindsey Kinney serves as the Mental Health Center Director. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). Lindsey attended Bellevue University where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology. She then went on to obtain her Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling through Bellevue University. Lindsey is a Southwest Iowa native and has been working in the Human Services field since 2004. She has been practicing as a therapist since joining MMC Behavioral Health in 2011.
Lindsey has been trained in a variety of evidence-based therapy practices
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)
- Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)

In addition to her duties as Director leading the Mental Health team, Lindsey provides mental health services for adults and children of all ages.
