About Darla
Darla Hansen, PTA, is a Physical Therapist Assistant with Myrtue Rehabilitation Services and has been a team member with Myrtue Medical Center since 1988. Darla sees a wide range of general physical therapy and has additional certifications and in wound care, instrument assisted (ASTYM), and lymphedema treatment.
As a child, Darla spent a significant amount of time at Shriner's Children's Hospital in Galveston, Texas. From the ages of four to eighteen, she was treated for burns and underwent extensive physical therapy. The hospital and its staff had a profound impact on her life, and helped shape her into the person she is today and why she chose this career path.
Darla is available for appointments from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.
When not at work, Darla spends time with her four grown children and twin grandchildren. She is an active person who loves to watch sports and go hiking. In addition to these activities, she also enjoys music and singing, and even performs with the groups Third Wish and Highway Miles.
