Myrtue Medical Center is excited to announce the Community Open House for the new Harlan Clinic and Mental Health Center on Friday, January 9, 2026. Myrtue Medical Center’s team members, board members and administrators will be joined by the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce members at the new Harlan Clinic for a ribbon cutting at 12:00 PM. The Community Open House will be from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM and will include tours, refreshments, and meeting our new CEO Kile Magner.
The newly expanded Harlan Clinic will begin seeing patients on Monday, January 12, 2026. This facility has been designed to enhance patient care and streamline services. Key improvements include additional patient exam rooms and expanded workspaces for clinical staff. The project also integrates Mental Health Services directly into the clinic, addressing the growing demand for mental health support and improving the coordination between mental health care and primary care. The new space also provides substantial room to grow. The expansion will allow the Mental Health Center team to continue to innovate and grow services to provide excellent care to area residents.
The Behavioral Health department will move to the second floor of the newly expanded clinic. The location change also comes with a new name, as Behavioral Health will become Myrtue Mental Health Center. The move culminates years of planning and investment to strengthen mental health care and deepen integration with primary care services.
Join us on Friday, January 9, 2026 from 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM for the Community Open House. Please enter at the existing main clinic and hospital entrance.
