About Britney

Britney is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) and joined Myrtue Behavioral Health in 2019. She attended Buena Vista University where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work in 2011 and then went on to obtain her master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Iowa in 2019. Britney has a wide range of experience including case management, assessment, providing trauma-specific therapy, working closely with various systems to help families involved in the court system achieve their goals, and counseling at an inpatient substance abuse facility.

Britney currently helps to manage the substance abuse program. She also provides mental health therapy to individuals ranging from later adolescence through adulthood. Britney’s experience includes treating clients with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance abuse issues. Britney is trained in providing multiple evidenced-based treatments:

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Somatic Experiencing (SE)
  • Imaginal Nurturing
  • Gottman Method Couples Therapy
