Two Additional Shelby County Residents Test Positive for COVID-19 Making Five Total Cases

Two additional Shelby County residents have tested positive for 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number of cases to five.

Age ranges of the two additional cases:

  • Individual 4 – Age (61-80)
  • Individual 5 – Age (81+)

Community spread of COVID-19 is occurring in Shelby County. For this reason, we urge all Shelby County residents to:

  • Stay home
  • Practice social distancing and avoid handshakes
  • Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds each time, or use an alcohol-based sanitizer when soap and water are not available
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
  • Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or elbow/upper arm
